Group Classes

Starting July 6th LIVE Virtual ZOOM Classes Available!

Our online classes have been so successful we are continuing our virtual schedule through summer. It’s simple, if you’re interesting in joining our LIVE online classes, sign up to be on our ZOOM e-mail list by e-mailing us at livelifeinspired2@gmail.  An invite is sent out an hour before every class. 
Drop-ins are $12.00 or $50.00 for a five-class pass. If you’re interested in joining a particular class, reply to our email and we will send you the new meeting ID and password. You can join in from ANYWHERE and you don’t even need the ZOOM app!

Saturdays @ Studioworks/Powerhouse Gym

*NEW TIME: 8:00am to 9:55am Slow Vinyasa Flow (60 min): Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stringing asanas (poses) together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. In this class we work with the Sama vritti breath.  We create a flow that works within the six planes of motion, for a balanced session. We focus on alignment and proper form.  This class is designed to strengthen, create flexibility and develop balance. The flow rhythm is moderate to slow and the asanas (poses) range from beginner to intermediate. Options are given for all levels.    
The class starts with a 10/15 minutes of breathing and warm-up stretches, then leads into a 40/45 minute dynamic vinyasa flow. It ends with a 10 minute cool down which includes savasana  (relaxation).

Sundays @ Studioworks/Powerhouse Gym

8:00am to 8:55am Athletic Yoga (60 minute):  Athletic Yoga class starts with a 10/15 minute warm-up, then leads into a 40/45 minute focused flow and ends with a 10/15 minute cool down which includes savasana (relaxation).
Each week the focus is unique.  We will target different muscle groups, repetitive-stress patterns and/or explore specific themes. It will combine various yoga styles to achieve our goal.  This class will focus on proper form and alignment. We will hold poses (asanas) longer, allowing our body to work deeper. It will emphasize safe transitions, the use of props and modifications to work at our body’s level.  This class combines beginner and intermediate poses.

Mondays @ Studioworks/Powerhouse Gym 

Urban Fusion 5:30pm to 6:25pm (55min): This is a cardio-based dance class. Urban Fusion combines rockin’ urban-inspired songs from a mix of music genres. It combines songs from popular Latino artist as well as Reggae, Hip Hop, and Pop music. It starts with a 5/10 minute dance-style warm-up, ratchets up a level or two!…with more energetic, sweat-producing songs, and ends with 5/10 minute cool down. Only the best tunes make it on our playlist!
This is a fast-paced, energetic class with an emphasis on dance and aerobic moves to keep the heart pumping.  It is designed to be fun-loving, in a non-judgmental environment, so leave your inhibitions at the door!  Come experience the joy of dance, work at your level and have fun. And remember…”there are no mistakes, only unexpected solos!” All levels welcome.
*NEW TIME: Power Yoga 6:45pm to 7:45pm (60min): This is a vigorous vinyasa-style class. The flow incorporates repetitive sequences designed for overall physical conditioning. It is created to strengthening core muscle groups, deepen flexibility and practice balance.  Class starts with a rhythmic flow warm-up and continues with 45 minutes of dynamic asana sequences. It ends with 15/20 minutes of mat work which includes core strengthening, back bends and inversions.  This is an intermediate class with beginner options.

8:00am to 8:50am Athletic Yoga (50 minute):  Athletic Yoga class starts with a 10/15 minute warm-up, then leads into a 40/45 minute focused flow and ends with a 10/15 minute cool down which includes savasana (relaxation).

*NEW TIME* 9:15am to 9:55am Gentle Yoga (55 minute):  This is a flow-style, slow-moving, mindful yoga class. It combines various therapeutic yoga styles. We will honor our bodies with moderate action and focus on restoring our connection to Self.  All levels welcome.
 

Wednesdays @ Studioworks/Powerhouse Gym

*NEW CLASS: 6:30pm to 7:30​p​m Yin Yoga (60 minute): Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga as exercise, incorporating principles of traditional Chinese medicine, with asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods of time than in other styles. For beginners, asanas may be held from 45 seconds to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more. The sequences of postures are meant to stimulate the channels of the subtle body known as meridians in Chinese medicine and as nadis in Hatha yoga.
